 Appearance:

Money plants have trailing stems and heart-shaped leaves, which are typically green, but some varieties have variegation with yellow or white patterns. 
  • Symbolism:
They are associated with wealth and good fortune in Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra, with the five leaves on each branch representing the five elements (metal, wood, water, fire, and earth). 
  • Growing Conditions:
Light: They thrive in bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate low-light conditions. 
  • Watering: Water when the top inch of soil dries out. 
  • Soil: Money plants can be grown in soil or water. 
  • Temperature: They prefer temperatures between 17 and 30°C (63 and 86°F).

  • Propagation: Easily propagated from stem cuttings or air layering. 
  • Pruning: Regular pruning helps maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. 
  • Toxicity:
Money plant sap is toxic and should be kept away from pets and children.

They are known for their air-purifying qualities, removing toxins like formaldehyde and xylene from the air. 
  • Varieties:
Besides the common green-leaved variety, there are also variegated and jade pothos (with thicker, rounder leaves).
